Quick Question...

In the timeline from Bazin, why was Baroque out all alone in black? I had wondered in class that day, but I didnt get around to asking. Simple question.

Kramer mentioned that Bazin talked about two types of Hollywood films after 1939. One type was the "modernist" long take films of Welles and Wyler. The other type was the "baroque" films that seemed to be exaggerated classical films ("the superwestern, etc.).

I left it up there since we had mentioned it, but I kept it separate from the other periods marked with different colors.

In other words: don't worry about it too much.
